I pulled in to the parking lot of the Super 8 motel in Port Clinton. It was about 9pm, but it seemed unusually dark. Then it hit me. Right in the mouth, a flapping bug. Too late, a couple of juicy mayflies apparently caught a reflection off one of my cavities and attacked. I now can attest they DO NOT taste like chicken. The Bay Mills Invitational is a stop on ~Read More~  No matter where you looked this weekend you saw something consistent throughout the show. Regardless of age or gender, or what outdoor activity brought you to the show, or whether you were an exhibitor or attendee, you eventually ended up wearing one, if not many, of these. Gary Talarico/Ultimate Fishing Show Team LureSecure attended The Ultimate Fishing Show at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, MI and found themselves among some of the nation’s best outfitters, charter boat captains, boat dealers and purveyors of fine fishing goods. MongoMad and Chief Fishfinder manned the booth for Team LureSecure at this show, one which has been hailed as the biggest pure fishing show in the Midwest. Despite the fact the show was ~Read More~  Aimee & I rolled out slow on this fine morn – it just felt like the kind of day you ease into. After all it was Sunday. Those devoted to the “religion” known as ice fishing were at the doors at 10 am, ready to check out all that was new in the industry, learn new techniques and run into their fellow parishioners. We chose this day to walk around and check out what was ~Read More~ I awoke finally feeling rested, and as we assembled after breakfast, I could tell we were all bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and ready for a full day at the Ice Fishing & Winter Sports Show. Good thing too, because we were busy!
Notice His Unique Fishing Method & Location of His Tackle Doors opened at 10 am and crowds streamed in consistently throughout the day. Being it was Kids ~Read More~  Off to the holylands we went, in the very wee hours of the morning. We were on a pilgrimage, to a place where ice fishing is a religion. We headed north and west, to Minnesota, packed to the gills with supplies, gear and inventory. We were about to spend the weekend with hordes of fellow ice fisherman at 17th Annual Ice Fishing & Winter Sports Show. For this journey to the ice fishing ~Read More~  We recently headed to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” to visit our manufacturing partners and a few of the finer sporting goods stores and bait shops along the way. As usual, the people were friendly, the sights magnificent, and the laughter and frivolity were free-flowing. This time we went armed with a boatload of inventory, racks, signs, digital cameras, iPhones and a per diem allowance that allowed for hearty meals, decent accommodations, full gas tanks and a ~Read More~ |
