 I sit here glancing out the window of my office. It seems to me trees are changing from luscious greens to beautiful shades of reds, oranges and yellows. Just before my eyes Fall is here. I must say it is my favorite time of the year. All the outdoor lovers’ activities are in full swing or soon will be.
The fishing in October is remarkable, with salmon, trout, walleye, perch, pike and even cisco waiting ~Read More~  My friend, Mark Martin—walleye tournament pro and fishing educator—stopped by my log home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula one morning a few weeks ago. I mean it is kinda like when your woman cooks up an excellent meal, gives out a little shoulder rub and gives you one of those ~Read More~  I see the ferns in the woods and along the roads are turning brown. To me that signals the beginning of Fall and the end of Summer. It was a great summer filled with good times. Think back on your summer. My summer was filled with new friends to fish with, some days I will never forget. It was the laughs, the fish stories and great food. And yes, we did catch a lot of fish! I pulled in to the parking lot of the Super 8 motel in Port Clinton. It was about 9pm, but it seemed unusually dark. Then it hit me. Right in the mouth, a flapping bug. Too late, a couple of juicy mayflies apparently caught a reflection off one of my cavities and attacked. I now can attest they DO NOT taste like chicken. My friends include amateurs and pros, and even a few of the media types. All of the pros, from charter captains to tournament fishermen, have a passion for helping the everyday angler catch more fish, enjoy the fishing experience more and significantly raise ~Read More~  Gary Fish Finder I want an avatar, that mythical carbon copy of myself. It would be great. Just think how cool that would be. “Honey, what chores on my list will you be working on today?” would be answered with what females love to hear “what ever you want!”.
